RIBOLLA GIALLA

Classification: Ribolla Gialla DOC Friuli Colli Orientali.
Grapes: 100% Ribolla Gialla. 
Soil and vineyard: marly soil of Eocene origin. The vineyard is planted with 4.200 single Guyot-trained vines per hectare.
Vinification: harvest takes place in mid-September at full ripeness and pressing is made on whole grapes. Fermentation develops in controlled low-temperature stainless steel vats and is followed by a slow maturation. After the necessary period of ageing in horizontally place bottles, La Roncaia Ribolla Gialla is introduced into the market.
Appearance: a beaming straw yellow.
Nose: a frank olfactory intensity, evoking elegant floral scents, fresh recalls of aromatic herbs, and delicate citrus fragrances.

ECLISSE

Classification: Bianco IGT Venezia Giulia “Eclisse”.
Grapes: selection of the best grapes of Sauvignon and Picolit.
Soil and vineyard: marly soil of Eocene origin. The vineyard is planted with 3.200-4.000 single Guyot-trained vines per hectare.
Vinification: each vine is harvested in order to reach a perfect maturation. Pressing is made on whole grapes. Fermentation occurs separately for each grape variety, part in temperature-controlled (max 18C) stainless-steel vats and part in Allier oak barriques. The long contact with fine lees allows to produce a wine with great extract and aromatic complexity. Once assembled, “Eclisse” cuvèe further ages in temperature-controlled steel vats until bottling. Then, the wine ages in horizontally placed bottles to reach its perfect evolution.
Appearance: deep straw-yellow.
Nose: a heady smell joining Sauvignon elegant aromaticness and Picolit fruit complex richness; green scents, perfumes of wild flowers and white pulp fruits, such as peach, merge in a fascinating fragrance.

CABERNET FRANC

Classification: Cabernet Franc DOC Friuli Colli Orientali.
Grapes: 100% Cabernet Franc.
Soil and vineyard: marly soil from Eocene origin. The growing system is the unilateral Guyot.
Vinification: Cabernet Franc grapes, carefully selected, are harvested by expert hands at the moment of perfect ripeness. After a maceration of about 15 days, the product ages in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for at least 10 months. After bottling, a further refinement in horizontal position makes the wine even more balanced.
Appearance: Deep ruby red, with purple shades.
Nose: a typical, frank aroma, full of vegetal, herbaceous, and earthy scents. The fruity sensations are intriguing and impactful, especially recalling black cherries and wild blackberries. They mingle with winy fragrances and spicy scents completing the bouquet with an intense depth. Palate: featuring lively but pleasant tannins, it strikes with a vibrant freshness that encourages to drink. The structure is balanced by a warm smoothness and supported by a good body, making La Roncaia Cabernet Franc a delightful wine in its authenticity.

FUSCO

Classification: Merlot DOC Friuli Colli Orientali.
Grapes: Merlot.Soil and vineyard: marly soil of Eocene origin. The vineyard is planted with 3.500 single Guyot-trained vines per hectare.
Vinification: Merlot grapes, picked at peak ripeness, are partially raisined for about 8 weeks. This drying method, characteristic of La Roncaia style, aims at obtaining a more structured, well- rounded and fruity wine. The grapes are destemmed but not crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After macerating for about 25 days the wine is racked and transferred to barriques. The wine rests in the barriques for at least 24 months during which it slowly ages. The wine further ages in the bottle to get more mature and balanced.
Appearance: ruby red with garnet tinges.
Nose: a multi-layered aromatic set, merging typically herbaceous scents and intense perfumes of red berries, in a fine, clean and elegant complexity.Palate: structurally balanced, warm, smooth, appropriately tannic; La Roncaia Fusco is an engrossing and long-lasting wine.

REFOSCO

Classification: Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso DOC Friuli Colli Orientali.
Grapes: 100% Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso.
Soil and vineyard: marly soil of Eocene origin. The vineyard is planted with 4.200 single Guyot-trained vines per hectare.
Vinification: after a late harvest, part of the grapes are carefully raisined for about 8 weeks. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks. The grapes, previously destemmed but not crushed, macerate from 25 to 30 days at controlled temperature. The wine is then transferred to new and once-used barriques for maturation with rackings every 90-100 days. For at least 24 months La Roncaia Refosco ages slowly in wood. After assembling the cuvèe, the wine is bottled and ages in horizontal position for 6 months.
Appearance: deep garnet red with ruby glints.
Nose: intense, complex, with earth scents recalling wild essences and wild berries, spicy and toasted fragrances, up to ethereal perfumes.Palate: warm, velvety, tannic; a wine with a great body, intensity and tasting persistence.

PINOT GRIGIO

Classification: Pinot Grigio DOC Friuli Colli Orientali.
Grapes: 100% Pinot Grigio. 
Soil and vineyard: Sandy Marlstones from Eocene Origin.
Vinification:Harvest takes place in late-September at full ripeness and pressing ismade on whole grapes. Fermentation and maturation are effected in allieroak barriques, where the wine slowly evolves for a total period ofabout one year. Spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations allowto develop complexity and body. The final ageing in horizontally placedbottles allows its perfect balance.
Appearance: Vivid straw yellow, with coppery tinges.
Nose: Complex fruity fragrances, mixing tropical sensations with delicate spicy notes.
Palate: A full and creamy body finishing with a refined minerality and a powerful, long-lasting aromatizes.
